Healthcare, social care and wellness: establishment data for France
Doctors’ and physiotherapists’ practices, clinics, nursing homes (EHPAD), home help services, hair salons, beauty institutes and spas: establishment data for suppliers of equipment, software and services aimed at care and wellness businesses in a département or region.
Our database for France holds 1,577,933 records (as of 4 November 2026); they are not yet assigned to industries. The quote states the size available for this industry.
Export of the whole industry: €319 (full price). Selections by region, department or your own filters are quoted on request.
Official statistics: 787,494 businesses in France according to Eurostat, structural business statistics (sbs_ovw_act) (reference year 2024, data as of 30 September 2026). Section Q human health and social work (600,387) plus classes 96.02 hairdressing and beauty treatment (161,574) and 96.04 physical well-being activities (25,533). Businesses are counted, not sites: an operator with several facilities counts once. This is the size of the market, not the size of our database.
Target a profession rather than the whole industry
The industry mixes private practices, hospitals and hair salons. Start from the NAF subclass that matches your offer, then the départements. Making the website a required field helps you check each business’s activity before sending.
Our records do not yet carry a NAF code: selecting by activity (NAF subclass) will only be possible for records matched with the Sirene database (matching in progress). The quote states what can be done today: area and required fields.
The official figure shown adds up very different activities. It is neither the number of practitioners nor the number of establishments listed in FINESS.
Price of the whole industry: €319. A selection by region, sub-industry or required fields is quoted individually; the whole-industry price is not a price promise for the filtered selection.
A request is not an order. Scope, fields, the date of the data and price are confirmed before you order.
What counts as Health, social care and well-being
The industry brings together three groups that the classification keeps clearly apart: human health activities (division 86), residential care (87) and social work without accommodation (88). We add hairdressing, beauty treatment and physical well-being (96.02 and 96.04).
The boundaries matter when targeting. According to INSEE, manicures and cosmetic foot care fall under 96.02B, whereas chiropodists (pédicures-podologues) are in 86.90E; medical massage is in 86.90E, massage institutes, saunas and spas in 96.04Z. Fitness and bodybuilding centres (93.13Z) belong to Associations, sport and culture, pharmacies and opticians to Pharmacies, opticians and hearing care.

Annuaire Santé and FINESS: two public reference files with different purposes
For the health professions, the French administration publishes open reference files itself. They describe authorised professionals and establishments, not sales targets.
Annuaire Santé (RPPS)
The Agence du Numérique en Santé publishes a daily open extract of the Annuaire Santé under the Licence Ouverte, based on the RPPS and FINESS reference files: RPPS identifier, name used in practice, profession, mode of practice (self-employed, salaried, voluntary) and contact details of the place of practice. These are personal data; our export does not take over this nominative list of practitioners or the RPPS numbers, although a practice may appear under the practitioner’s name.
FINESS
Health, social and medico-social establishments are listed in FINESS. A new version has been in service since 20 July 2026: the former extract is no longer updated (data frozen at 4 May 2026), and the ANS now publishes the daily FINESS – Structures feed, which also contains closed structures.
Hairdressing and wellness
We have found no comparable public reference file for hair salons, beauty institutes or spas. Like all businesses, they are registered in the national business register (RNE), whose data can be consulted free of charge on DATA INPI.
Not in the export
nominative list of practitioners and RPPS numbers (a practice may appear under the practitioner’s name)
medical specialties, health insurance agreement and fee sector
capacity of establishments (beds, places)
number of employees and turnover
personal e-mail addresses of professionals
The 15 columns supplied are described on the export page.
Practice, establishment or salon: choosing the right unit
A group practice brings several practitioners together at one address. Our export counts the place of practice and the business, not the professionals working there. For a maker of medical furniture that is the right unit; for a software publisher charging per practitioner, the Annuaire Santé is the better starting point.
Nursing homes, residential facilities and home help services may belong to a group, an association or a public body. Once matched with the Sirene database, the SIRET identifies the establishment and the SIREN the operating organisation, so you can see which sites share the same decision-maker.
Where a self-employed practitioner or hairdresser trades as a sole proprietor (entreprise individuelle), their contact details are personal data and the GDPR applies (information of the persons concerned, right to object). For e-mail, the CNIL accepts prospecting professionals without prior consent when the message relates to their profession. The export contains no health data.
Example request
We make massage tables and are looking, in Gironde, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques, for physiotherapy and osteopathy practices (NAF code 86.90E) as well as spas and massage institutes (96.04Z) that publish a website, to send a printed catalogue. How many records already have a NAF code, and how soon can you deliver?

Questions
Health, social care and well-being: frequently asked questions
Not yet: our records do not carry a NAF code yet. NAF distinguishes 86.90E for rehabilitation professionals (physiotherapy, osteopathy, speech therapy…), 87.10A for residential nursing care for the elderly. Selection by code will be possible for records matched with the Sirene database (matching in progress); the quote states how many records have a NAF code and how many do not yet.
No. The Annuaire Santé describes professionals authorised to practise, with their name, profession and place of practice. Our export describes businesses and establishments, with phone, e-mail and website where published. It contains no nominative list of practitioners and no RPPS numbers; a practice may nevertheless appear under the practitioner’s name.
For professionals, the CNIL accepts e-mail without prior consent when the offer relates to their profession, provided the persons are informed and can object easily in every message. Practice software or medical equipment clearly relates to the profession; a consumer offer does not. Details: B2B e-mail and phone prospecting rules.
